Rose M. Ward-Hellinger, 79, Enjoyed her family, quilting, and crafts

Photo of Rose M. Ward-Hellinger Rose M. Ward Hellinger (nee Kinter), 79, of Lorain died on Saturday, June 5, 2004 in Lorain, Ohio following a long illness.

Mrs. Hellinger was born on February 18, 1925 in Grafton, Ohio and has lived in Lorain since 1954. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and its Miriam Guild. She was attended the Cruisslo in the 1970's. She had been employed as an assembler at the former Lorain Products.

She enjoyed quilting, camping, crafts, flowers, gardening and bird watching. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren and her family.

Mrs. Hellinger is survived by her two daughters, Denise A. Serrano, and Valerie Wood both of Lorain, sons, Alvin D. Hellinger of Lorain and William "Bill" Ward of Amherst, 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and brother John B. Kinter of Grafton, OH.

She is preceded in death by her husband Alvin C. Hellinger in 1990, her daughter Judy Ann Ward in 1941, her grandson William "Rusty" Ward in 1987, her parents Roger and Irene (nee Berrill) Kinter, her brothers Edward "Yak" Kinter, Francis "Sabe" Kinter, sister Florence C. Kinter.

Friends may call at Schwartz Spence Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio, on Tuesday, June 8, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Marian Guild will pray the Rosary at 3:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Lorain, OH, with Rev. Charles Henkle, associate pastor, officiating.

Rose M. Ward Hellinger will be buried at Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Amherst Township, Ohio.

The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the New Life Hospice, 5255 N. Abbe Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035.
