Grace W. Greenhill, 74, Active in the Toledo Road Church, Lorain

Grace Willodean Greenhill (nee Willis), age 74, and a resident of Elyria, passed away June 6, 2004 at Elyria United Methodist Village following a lengthy illness.

She was born June 1, 1930 in Russellville, Alabama where she was raised and lived until moving to Cleveland in 1949. She moved to Sheffield Lake in 1958 and then to Elyria in 2002.

Grace worked for Dalton Clothing Factory in Lorain as an inspector for ten years until the company closed. She was an active member of Toledo Road Church in Lorain.

Survivors include her son Rick Greenhill of Sheffield Lake, her daughter Barbara Koerner of Amherst, and Peggy Arnal of Toledo, eight grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and her brother Daniel Willis of Tuscumiba, Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Robert C. Greenhill on May 3, 2002, by an infant grandson, her brothers Charles Willis and Ester “Buddy” Willis, by her sister Leighota Rikard, Annie Sparks, Opal Tompkins, and Lela Delma Willis, and by her parents Daniel and Laura (nee Skidmore) Willis.

Friends may call Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst where funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. Minister Robert Eddy, pastor of Toledo Road Church of Christ in Lorain, will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst, Ohio.
