Lenice Collett, 76, Enjoyed hunting and the flee market
Lenice Collett, age 76, of Elyria, and formerly of Lorain, died Tuesday, June 8, 2004 at Lorain Manor Nursing Facility, Lorain following a lengthy illness.Born May 15, 1928 in Pineville, Kentucky, he has lived in the Lorain and Elyria areas for the past 48 years.
He worked as a computer operator on the line in the number three seamless mill at US Kolbe Steel in Lorain for 38 years, retiring in 1993.
Lenice was an active member of West Ridge Enterprises Baptist Church, South Amherst, where he played his guitar. He was also a member of the United Steel workers Union Local 1104, in Lorain. He loved to hunt all game animals and enjoyed going to Jamie’s Flee Market.
Surviving is his wife of 53 years: Nellie (nee Sizemore); a daughter: Carolyn Baldwin, of Lorain; 1 grandson; 1 great granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Anthony and Martha (nee Furrell) Collett; 5 brothers; and 4 sisters.
There will be no visitation. Private family services were held today as Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
