Timothy M. Mitchell, 23, Enjoyed golfing and NASCAR

Photo of Timothy M. Mitchell Timothy Michael "Tweek" Mitchell, age 23, of Sheffield Township, died Tuesday, June 8, 2004 at his residence following a sudden illness.

Born July 7, 1980 in Cleveland, he graduated from Brookside High School, Sheffield, in 1999, and attended Lorain Community College for 2 years.

For the past 2 1/2 years, Timothy had been working at Sachs North America, Westlake. Prior to this, he worked for Giant Eagle, Avon Lake, for 5 years.

He was a member of Grace Baptist Church. He enjoyed golfing, the outdoors, and watching American Chopper on the Discovery Channel. He was also a big fan of NASCAR, with the late Dale Earnhardt Sr., being his favorite driver. He also enjoyed spending time with children.

Surviving is his wife of less than a year, Brandi (nee Graver), his mother and step father, Linda and William Schneider, of Avon Lake, his father Jeffrey Sweeney, of Lorain, step grandparents, William and Ann Schneider, of Lima, maternal grandparents, Thomas and Joyce Mitchell, of Westlake, a brother, Billy Schneider, of Avon Lake, sisters, Hayley Schneider, of Avon Lake, Angela Sweeney, and Patricia Sweeney, both of Lorain, and Danielle Sweeney, of Deltona, Florida, and many aunt and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Starlin and Daisy Sweeney, maternal and paternal great grandparents.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. The family will also receive friends on Friday, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church, 719 Root Road, Lorain. Rev. Jay Roller, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
