Gregory R. Zeise, 53, Hot Heat Investigator
Gregory R. Zeise, age 53, of Lorain, died Thursday, June 10, 2004 in the Intensive Care Unite at Community Health Partners Hospital & Surgical Center following an extended illness.Mr. Zeise was born November 25, 1950 in Lorain and had been a life-long resident to the city.
He was a 1968 graduate of Lorain High School and went on to receive his Associates Degree in computer and electrical repair from Lorain County Community College. He was most recently employed as a hot heat investigator in the #2 Seamless Mill of U.S. Steel’s Lorain-Cuyahoga Works.
A parishioner of Saint Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, he was extremely active with the Knights of Saint John Commandary for the past sixteen years after succeeding his father in that office.
He was an ardent model railroader; additional interests included golf, bowling, and fishing. He also volunteered many hours in the bingo program sanctioned by Commandary #314.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-one years: Ruth Ann (nee Sudaz), a son: Gregory Allen Zeise residing in Lorain, daughter Karen Lynn Zeise of Amherst and Mary Ellen Zeise of Lorain, two grandsons, his mother: Marian (nee Balmert) Zeise, and by his brothers: Donald and Thomas Zeise of Lorain, and Steven of Grafton. He was preceded in death by his father: Donald R. Zeise in 1988.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 13, 2004, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. Funeral services will be Monday, beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the funeral chapel and will be followed by the celebration of his funeral mass at 9:30 a.m. in Saint Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, Corner of Eight Street and Reid Avenue, Lorain. The Reverend O. Daniel Divis, pastor of the church will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
