Photo of Frank A. Myers Frank A. Myers, 82 of Lorain died on Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at Community Health Partners Hosp. & Surgical Ctr. in Lorain, OH following a brief illness.

Mr. Myers was born on September 14, 1921, in Erie, PA and lived the majority
of his life in Lorain. He was a 1939 graduate of Lorain High School. He
held an associate degree in electrical technology from Lorain County Community College, graduating in 1965.

He was a US Navy veteran serving during World War II. He served aboard both the USS Austin and the USS LST 17. He received the Asiatic Pacific Medal, American Area Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and the Victory Medal.

Mr. Myers was retired from US Steel in 1984 as the general foreman in the
fuel and power department. He had 39 years service to US Steel.

He was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer. He was also a
member of the American Legion Post 30, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 451 and the Amvets in Vermilion. He was a member of the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed gardening,
NASCAR racing, the Cleveland Browns and watching WW II movies.

Mr. Myers is survived by his two daughters, Sandi L. Vander Sluis of
Vermilion, Pat Zadorozny of Lorain, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife Elaine (nee Williams) Myers in 1995 and
his parents Albert and Genevieve (nee Plot) Myers.

Friends may call at Schwartz Spence Boyer and Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, OH, on Sunday, June 20, 2004, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 21, 2004, at 11:00 am in Schwartz Spence Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals. Rev. Stephen Sedgwick, rector of the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer will officiate.

Frank A. Myers will be buried at Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Amherst Twp., OH with full military honors provided jointly by American Legion Post
30 and VFW Post 451.

The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 43099 North Ridge Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035.
