Frances K. Coughlin, 84, She was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking.

Mrs. Coughlin was born May 1, 1920 in Arlington Massachusetts, and has lived in Sheffield Lake for the past 46 years.

Mrs. Coughlin was a homemaker and a member of the St. Joseph Church, Avon Lake. She served as an officer of the parents club at Lorain Catholic High School. She was a member of the Aqua Marine Golf League and the Aqua Marine Bowling League. She was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking. She was also a sports fan, especially Notre Dame football.

Mrs. Coughlin is survived by her husband William, whom she married January 20, 1943. Other survivors include three sons: William Coughlin (Evelyn) of Natick, Massachusetts, Mike Coughlin of Sheffield Lake, Frank Coughlin (Sheryl) of Avon Lake; two daughters: Frances Frank (Richard) of Avon Lake, and Miriam Leen (Harry) of Jacksonville, Florida. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; 2 sisters and a brother. She is also preceded in death by her son Thomas, and her parents: Henry and Katherine (nee Maloney) Farrington.

Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 163 Avon-Belden Rd. Avon Lake, Tuesday, June 22, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be at St. Joseph Church Avon Lake at a time to be announced. Interment will be in Resthaven Memory Garden, Avon.
