Louise Ann Christen, 90, Enjoyed crocheting
Louise Ann Christen (nee Beko), age 90, of Lorain, died Thursday June 17, 2004 at Autumn Aegis Nursing Home following an extended illness.She was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania on June 25, 1913 and had been a resident of Lorain for more than eighty years.
A parishioner of Saint Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in Lorain, she was employed as a custodian fro the Lorain Board of Education where she served Meister Road School up until her retirement in 1980.
She enjoyed crocheting.
Ms. Christen is survived by her daughter-in-law: Carol Brodke of Lorain, by one granddaughter, and two great grandsons. She was preceded in death by her son: Robert in 1991, by her granddaughter: Sandy Bennington, by parents: Steven and Marie (nee Chapco) Beko, by brothers: William Michael, and Joseph, along with a sister: Elizabeth “Betty” Gargasz.
Graveside services were held Monday June 21, 2004 in Calvary Cemetery-Lorain.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, of Lorain.
