Freeman Morgan, 72, Enjoyed Blue Grass Music

He was born December 16, 1931 in Emmett, West Virginia, and had lived in Vermilion for 10 years moving from Amherst.
Mr. Morgan served during the Korean War in the United States Marine Corp. He worked at General Motors in Elyria for 17 years and had also worked at Sandusky Crushed Stone.
He enjoyed Blue Grass music, and had worked as a Blue Grass Disc Jockey. He had worked for 25 years at WOBC, the Oberlin College radio station, and also enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Anna Gwen Morgan; daughters, Suzie DeBolt of Lorain, and Mary Fraley of Vermilion; a son, Freeman Morgan, Jr. of Vermilion; 9 Grandchildren; 2 Great Grandchildren; sisters, Shelba Robinette of Huron, and Helen Browning of Oceana, WV; brothers, Charles Morgan of Berlin Heights, Marshall Morgan of Huron, and Calvin Morgan of Lexington, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Bert and Martha (nee Walls) Morgan; brothers, Robert Morgan and Paul Morgan and a sister, Evelyn Fowler.
Friends may call 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Friday, July 2, 2004 at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.
Services will be held at the Riddle Funeral Rome, Saturday, July 3, 2004 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron. The Vermilion Veterans Council will conduct military graveside services.
