Olga Worden, 92, Enjoyed growing flowers and cooking for family and friends

Olga Worden (nee-Huszti), age 92, of LaGrange, formerly of Lorain, died Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at the home of her granddaughter in LaGrange, following a brief illness.

Born December 25, 1911 in Lorain, Mrs. Worden had lived in Lorain for most all of her life.

Olga, along with her late 1st husband-James Sova, had owned and operated the former Sova Florist in Lorain for many years. She was a member of the Hungarian Reformed United Church of Christ of Lorain. She enjoyed growing flowers, cooking for family and friends and she also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her sister: Betty Burns of Canton, Ohio; 5 grandchildren: Joyce Smith of LaGrange, with whom she had made her home, Jim Laird of Elyria, Jody Laird and Janet Laird, both of Wellington, and John Laird of Amherst; 11 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her 1st husband- James Sova; 2nd husband- James Worden; her daughter- Betty Anne Laird; parents- Joseph and Elizabeth (nee-Bucsai) Huszti; and her brother- Joseph Huszti.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 2, 2004 from 4 to 7 p.m., and then again on Saturday, from 10:15 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain, with the Rt. Rev. Dr. Zoltan D. Szucs, Bishop, officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
