Earl Francis McCormick, 89, Enjoyed flowers and gardening, and his grandchildren.
Earl Francis McCormick, age 89, of Grafton Township, passed away July 2, 2004 in Medina General Hospital after a short illness.He was born Tuesday, October 13, 1914 in Sault St. Marie, Michigan. He moved when he was a child to Carey, Ohio.
He worked in the Limestone plant in Carey Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945, where he spent some time in France and Africa. He is a retired Grafton Township dairy farmer since 1948. He enjoyed flowers and gardening, and his grandchildren.
He is survived by daughters: Mrs. (Richard) Mary Carlson of Grafton Township, Ohio, and Mrs. (Perry) Joyce Ellenberger of Grafton Township, Ohio; Grandchildren: David, Thomas, Megan, and Katie Carlson, all of Grafton Township; 2 brothers: Calvin and Ernest McCormick of Miss.; 2 sisters: Donna Cunningham and Violet Hildebrand both of CA.
He is preceded in death by his wife: Beatrice (nee Nash) of 52 years; parents: John and Bessie Mc Cormick; brothers: Clarence, Charles, John; and sisters: Helen Schmunk and Rita Jones.
Friends may call in the Blackburn-Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St. Grafton, Tuesday from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dennis Murawski, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Valley City.
