Santa Manzo, 66, Lifetime Lorain Resident
Santa Manzo (nee Valletta), age 66, of Lorain died on Friday, July 2, 2004 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph following a 5 month illness.She was born January 13, 1938 in Lorain and had been a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Manzo worked as a Branch administrator for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company for 37 years, retiring in 1993. She was a member of Church of St. Peter in Lorain, Metropolitan Veteran’s Association, Slovak Social Bowling League, Polish Roman Catholic Union, and the Cleveland Poker Association. She was an avid bowler for 40 years.
Santa is survived by her husband of 29 years: Charles Manzo; sons: Michael Manzo of Amherst, and Timothy Manzo of Elyria; 4 grandchildren; brother: Jesse Valletta of Lorain; and sisters: Anita Wigton of Amherst, and Emily Jurczynski of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Luigi and Alfonsina Valletta.
Visitation is Sunday from 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Reichlin-Cooley Funeral Home, 2920 Broadway Ave, Lorain, OH. Funeral services will begin with Prayers Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at the Church of St. Peter. Fr. Kenneth Wolnowski will officiate. Burial will be on Calvary Cemetery.
