Theodore R. Eddy, 79, Enjoyed gardening, cooking, and reading

Theodore R. Eddy, 79 of Lorain died on Monday, July 5, 2004, in Lorain, OH following along battle with Parkinson's disease.

Mr. Eddy was born on September 11, 1924, in Elyria Township, OH and lived all of his adult life in Lorain. He was a veteran of the US Merchant Marines serving during WW II.

He was a heating and plumbing technician. He owned Hearthstone Heating, Eddy Heating and Plumbing, and had worked at Sears installing heating systems and water heaters. He retired in 1979.

He was a volunteer with the Lorain Library Literacy Program. He taught the A. A. R. P. 's "55 Alive" program and served as the program's Northeast Ohio Coordinator. He was also a member of the AARP, The Knights of Pythias in Washington DC and the Masons. He enjoyed helping people, gardening, cooking and reading.

Mr. Eddy is survived by his two daughters: Elizabeth Eddy of Des Moines, Iowa, and Jacqui Hassam of Columbus, Ohio; five sons, Brian Eddy of Lexington, Kentucky, Christopher Eddy of Lorain, Guy Eddy of North Ridgeville, Liam Eddy of Kent, and Theodore Eddy of Sheffield Lake; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers Robert Eddy of Dayton, William Eddy of Vista, California; sisters Ruth Kalo of Lorain, and Roberta Schumaker of Highland Home, Alabama.

Theodore is preceded in death by his wife Mary (nee Smith) Eddy, his parents William and Dora (nee Bradshaw) Eddy, sisters Florence Crawford, Dora Katonek, and brothers Gene Eddy and George Eddy,

There is no visitation and burial will be held at a later date.
