Rudolph A. Rulli, 74, Hobbies included hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family
Rudolph A. Rudy Rulli, age 74, of Avon and life long resident of Lorain County, died Wednesday, July 7, 2004 in the intensive care unit of Saint John and West Shore Hospital following an extended illness.Mr. Rulli was born April 26, 1930 in Lorain and had been a resident of Avon since 1990 after moving from Avon Lake.
He was a graduate of Lorain High School and went on to serve with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. After fulfilling his obligation in the military, he joined the Plain Dealer Publishing Company where he served as a press operator and later as a press foreman. Rudy retired in 1990 following a career that spanned 36 years with the newspaper.
He was a parishioner of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Avon Lake whose hobbies including hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include sons: Steven A. Rulli of Richmond, California, Mark C. Rulli of Berkley, California and David M. Rulli of Lakewood, Colorado, daughters; Kathleen A. Ramey and Susan L. Pate both of Avon Lake, 5 grandchildren, brother; Robert Rulli of Hamilton, Ohio, and a sister: Yolanda Raker of Swanton, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Georgean M. Rulli (nee Ondick) in 1991, by his parents: Stephen and Mary (nee Sestili) Rulli, and by a brother: Joseph.
Visitation will be Sunday from 4-8 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel-3224 Broadway-Lorain. Funeral Services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel, with the Rev James H. Beattty, pastor of Holy Spirit Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery-Lorain.
