Evelyn M. Colgan, 94, Enjoyed reading

She was born June 16, 1910 in Lorain. She had also resided in Canfield, Ohio and St. Petersburg, Florida and had moved back to Lorain in 2001.

Evelyn was a 1928 graduate of Lorain High School. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Lorain. She enjoyed reading all types of books.

She is survived by her granddaughter: Shannon Gabor on Gahanna, Ohio; grandson: Clancy Colgan of Minnesota; 2 great-grandchildren; sister: Ruth V. Gascoigne; and brother: Jack C. Brown, both of Lorain; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Colgan was preceded in death by her husband: Phillip Colgan; and sons: Timothy and Michael Colgan.

Friends may call Sunday from 7-9 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel followed by a funeral mass at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1305 E. Erie Ave., Lorain. The Rev. Chuck Henkle, associate pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
