Gary Michael Malinowski, 43, U.S. Postal Service Carrier for 16 years

died unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 14, 2004 in Sarasota.

He was born on March 7, 1961 in Lorain and has been an area resident most of
his life. He had lived in Sarasota, Florida since March 2004.

A graduate of Admiral King High School Class of 1979, he was an avid NASCAR racing fan and collector. He was a letter carrier for the US Postal Service in Rocky River for 16 years and had most recently worked for the Bossar Corporation in Sarasota, Florida as a parts manager. He had also worked at the Norwalk Raceway for many summers.

He was a former drummer with many local bands and enjoyed music, bowling and golfing.

Survivors include his father: Peter Malinowski of Lorain; brother: Kevin Malinowski of Vermilion; sister: Denise Malinowski of San Diego, CA; several aunts & uncles.

He was preceded-in-death by his mother: Dolores (nee Kroucik); maternal grandparents: Martin and Helen Kroucik and paternal grandparents, Joseph and Mary Malinowski.

Friends may call Friday, July 23, 2004 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Dombrowski-Volak-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, Ohio.

Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Saturday, July 24, 2004 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, W.15th at Lexington Avenue, Lorain. The Reverend John Kline will officiate. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
