Irma Grm, 75, Enjoyed gardening and cooking

Photo of Irma  Grm Irma Grm (nee Bremmer), age 75, of Lorain, died Thursday, July 29, 2004 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center West, Lorain, following a lengthy illness.

Born September 5, 1928 in Edersee, Germany, she came to Lorain in 1960.

Irma worked in the bakery department of Giant Eagle, Rini Rigo's, and Fazio's, retiring in the late 1990. Prior to that, she worked at Hills Department Store in South Lorain.

She was a member of Ss. Cyril and Methodist Catholic Church, the Liedertafel Club, and the American German Association.

She enjoyed gardening, cooking, yard work, and working around the house. She also took pleasure of being in the company of other's.

Surviving is her sons; Chuck Grm of Lorain, and Klaus Grm of Amherst, a daughter; Rose Betchker of Amherst; 4 grandchildren, a sister; Emmy Eckhardt of Germany.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Wilhelm Bremmer, and Emilie (nee Emde) Bremmer, a brother; Werner Bremmer.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Rev. Father James P. Schmitz, pastor of St. Ladislaus Catholic Church, Lorain, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
