Francisco Caban, 57, Enjoyed singing, working on cars, and gardening
Francisco Caban, 57, of Lorain, died Monday, August 2, 2004 at his residence following a lengthy illness.Born Oct. 22, 1946 in Lares, Puerto Rico, he came to Lorain in 1966 and has lived here since.
Mr. Caban worked for Larson Foundry in Grafton for 23 years, retiring in 1997. Prior to that, he worked for Ford Motor Co., in Brookpark.
He was a member of Puerto Del Cielo Spanish Pentecostal Church, Lorain. He enjoyed singing, working on cars, and gardening.
Surviving is his father: Emilio Caban of Lares, Puerto Rico; son; Felix Caban of Lorain; daughters: Enid Smith, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Gloria Caban and Anabel Vargas both of Columbus, and Carmen Pardella of Lorain; 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; brothers: Luis Antonio Caban and Nelson Caban both of Lares, Puerto Rico, sisters: Sonia Ramos, Wanda Candarilla, Grisel Ruiz, and Neida Ruiz, all of Lares, Puerto Rico, and Carmen Caban, of Bronx, New York.
Francisco was preceded in death by his mother: Carmen Marie (nee Perez) Caban.
Private family visitation was held in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. His body was sent to the Sarcedo Funeral Home in Lares, Puerto Rico for services there. Burial will be in The Municipal Cemetery in Lares, Puerto Rico.
