Jane Glorioso, 67, Volunteered at the L.C. MetroParks for 15 yrs.
Jane Glorioso (nee Nahm), 67 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2004 at New Life Hospice Residential Center, Lorain following a brief illness.She was born January 21, 1937 in Lorain, where she was raised, and graduated from Lorain High School in the class of 1955. She received her teaching degree from Kent State University. She has lived in Amherst since 1959.
Jane worked for the Amherst School System as a substitute teacher. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and where she taught CCD/PSR religion classes. She was a volunteer for the Lorain County MetroParks for 15 years and for community Health Partners for 3 years. She was involved in period reenactment presentations.
Survivors include her husband; Paul A. Glorioso, her son; David Glorioso, of Waco, Texas, her daughters; Michelle Behm of Fletcher, North Carolina, Karen Cole of Kent, Ohio, and Mari Anne Ruhr of Medina, Ohio, and 11 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her 2-month-old infant son; Thomas Paul Glorioso in 1957, her son; Michael J. Glorioso, in 1980, and parents; Joseph and Ellen (nee Findlay) Nahm.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst, where final prayers will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 200 St. Joseph Dr., Amherst. Rev Fr. Lawrence Martello, pastor of St. Joseph Church will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Amherst, Ohio.
