Angela Maureen Nelson, 60, Enjoyed gardening and cooking
Angela Maureen Nelson (nee Foley), age 60, of Lorain, died Sunday, August 15, 2004 at her home after a brief illness.She was born December 12, 1943 in London, England and had resided in Lorain for the past 39 years, moving from Fogelsville, Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Nelson worked at Sears & Roebuck at the Midway Mall in Elyria in the ladies wear and lingerie departments in the late 70’s.
She was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter in Lorain and the Lorain Nightingales English Club. She enjoyed bowling, crafts, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years: Bruce E. Nelson of Lorain; son: Stephen James Nelson of Avon Lake; daughter: Lisa A. Hobart of Amherst; mother: Mercedes Foley (nee Fulford) of England; brothers: Michael, Bernard, Frank, and John Foley, all of England; sisters: Maureen Heywood, Louisa Foley, and Stella Gilesenan, all of England, and Gloria Delaney of Ireland; 3 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Angela was preceded in death by her father: John Joseph Foley in 1991.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5-9 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel ~ 3224 Broadway Ave ~ Lorain. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel followed by a funeral mass at 11 a.m. at the Catholic Church of St. Peter ~ 3501 Oberlin Ave. ~ Lorain. The Rev. Kenneth Wolonowski, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
