James H. Lehner, 59, Co-owner of Food Industry Equipment

Photo of James H. Lehner James H. Lehner, age 59, of Lorain, died Sunday, August 15, 2004 in New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph.

He was born November 23, 1944 in Columbus, OH and has been in the Vermilion area since 1958.

James graduated from Vermilion High School and attended Western New Mexico University. He was co-owner of Food Industry Equipment, Lorain, for over 20 years which allowed him to travel nationally and internationally.

Mr. Lehner had attended the United Church of Christ, Vermilion, as a young man and worshiped with his wife and family at St. Mary Catholic Church, Vermilion. He was a member of AmVets Post #22 and enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years: Rosalie (nee Noriega) Lehner; son: James Lehner of Columbus, OH; parents: James and Patricia (nee Howard) Lehner of Vermilion, OH; brothers: Charles and John Lehner of Vermilion; 3 nieces; 1 nephew, and many aunts and uncles.

Friends may call Wednesday, August 18 from 4-7 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home ~ 5345 South Street ~ Vermilion. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 4:30 p.m.

Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Thursday, August 19, 2004 at 9:30 a.m.followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Catholic Church ~ 731 Exchange Street ~ Vermilion, with the Rev. Jim Holmer officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
