Ruby L. Borer, 85, Enjoyed her family and the Cleveland Indians
Ruby Lenore Borer (nee Wolery), age 85, of Sheffield Lake, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain following a lengthy illness.She was born September 5, 1918 in Van Wert, Ohio and moved to Sheffield Lake 65 years ago. Ruby was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Sheffield Lake and enjoyed her family, reading and the Cleveland Indians.
Mrs. Borer is survived by a daughter, Mary Krause of Fremont, Ohio; five sons: William H. (Judy) and Joseph (Sharon) both of Sheffield Lake, Thomas (Barbara) of Avon Lake and Raymond (Barbara) and John both of Arizona, 18 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren, and two brothers Joseph Wolery of California and Ralph Lloyd Wolery (Shirley) of Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William J., three infant children, Frederick, Alma and Barbara Borer, grandson Jeffrey Borer, two sisters, Lucille Youngles and Velma Allen, four brothers, Paul William, Merel, and Lester Wolery and her parents Ray and Alma (nee Wolfe) Wolery.
Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 163 Avon-Belden Rd., Avon Lake from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, August 20, 2004. Prayer services will be held at the Funeral home Saturday, August 21st, 2004 at 9:15 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 715 Harris Rd., Sheffield Lake at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Stephen L. Shields will officiate. Internment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon. Memorials may be forwarded to St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 715 Harris Rd., Sheffield Lake, Ohio 44054.
