Delia M. DeSmit, 90, Lifelong area resident

Mrs. DeSmit was born January 15, 1914 in London, England and came to Avon Lake at the age of one.

Mrs. DeSmit worked for Avon Oaks Country Club for 20 years, retiring in 1979. She was a 1932 graduate of Avon Lake High School and enjoyed working in her yard.

She is survived by a daughter: Gloria S. Fryfogle (Gary) of Avon Lake. Other survivors include 5 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Frank P. DeSmit, Sr.; son: Frank P. DeSmit, Jr.; parents: Emil and Magdalena (nee Monje) Tobler; and a twin brother that died at birth.

Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 163 Avon-Belden Rd., in Avon Lake on Friday August 27 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be at the funeral home, Saturday, August 28, at 11 a.m. Rev. Kelly Peters of the Avon Lake United Church of Christ, will officiate. Interment will follow in Elmhurst Park Cemetery.
