Ilinka Stasovska, 89, Homaker, avid gardener
Ilinka Stasovska (nee Stasovski) 89, of Lorain died Thursday, August 26, 2004 in her home following a brief illness.She was born June 15, 1915 in Lubojno, Macedonia. She immigrated to Lorain in 1970. She was a Lorain resident for 34 years.
Mrs. Stasovska was a member of Saint Clement of Ohrid Macedonian Orthodox Church in Avon. She was a member of the churches Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed socializing and volunteering at the church. She was a homemaker who was an avid flower and vegetable gardener. She also enjoyed crocheting gifts for her family.
Among the survivors is her son: Nikola Stasovski of Lorain; daughters: Dragica Popovska of Bitola, Macedonia and Slavka Bogdanov of Hot Springs, Arkansas; brothers: Vasil Paspal of Dearborn, Michigan and Valade Paspal of Las Angles, California; a sister: Sofia Stevanovski of Troy, Michigan; a step-sister: Stoja Fudlovska of Perth, Australia; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 17 years: Petar Stasovski in 1951; her parents: Nikola and Dosta (nee Dimov) Paspalovski; step-mother Cveta Paspal (nee Tortovska); brother: Nicola Paspal in 1986; and sister Menka Janevska in 1981.
Friends may call Sunday 3-9 p.m., at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Ohio, where the Parastas will be Sunday evening at 7 p.m.. Funeral services will be Monday at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. followed by service at 10 a.m. in Saint Clement of Ohrid Macedonian Orthodox Church, 38665 French Creek Road, in Avon. The Reverend Vasil Manasiev, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
