Jean D. Gerhart, 92, Enjoyed bridge and flower arranging

She was born August 4, 1912 in Berea, Ohio. She had lived most of her life in Rocky River. She wintered in Boca Raton, FL from 1975-1990 and had spent her summers at Linwood Park in Vermilion since she was 8.

Jean graduated from Hathaway Brown School and attended Connecticut College. She was a member of Unity Church in Westlake, and the Lakewood Hospital Junior Board, Westwood Country Club, and Beachcliff Garden Club. She also volunteered for the American Cancer Society and enjoyed bridge, and flower arranging.

Survivors include her daughters: Nancy G. Trinter of Vermilion, and Gail G. Haller of Rocky River; 4 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death was her husband: Arthur J. Gerhart on August 24, 1989; and her parents: Ray and Elsa (nee Nau) Dunham.

Private graveside services will be held Thursday, September 2, 2004 at Woodvale Cemetery, in Berea. The Reverend Louis Bertoni, former pastor of the United Church of Christ in Vermilion will officiate.
