Christopher A. Turton, 40, Enjoyed music, flea markets, and cats

Christopher A. Turton, age 40, of Lorain died Tuesday, August 31, 2004 at Community Health Partners in Lorain after a short illness.

He was born October 23, 1963 in Lorain and had been a lifelong area resident.

Mr. Turton was a graduate of the Southview High School class of 1982. He worked as a cook at various local restaurants. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Elyria Township and enjoyed music, flea markets, and cats.

Christopher is survived by his parents: Allen and Priscilla (nee Snyder) Turton of Lorain; maternal grandfather: Mack Snyder of Lorain; and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his sister: Kimberly Turton-Price on May 6, 2001; paternal grandparents: Andrew and Ann (nee Dombrowski) Turton; and maternal grandmother: Janet Snyder (nee Poth).

A funeral mass will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church ~ 41295 N. Ridge Road, Elyria. The Rev. James Ols, pastor, and the Rev. Mr. John Slatcoff, deacon, will concelebrate. A reception will follow in the church gymnasium.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel ~ 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain.
