William R. ''Bill'' Foulk, US Navy Veteran
William R. ‘’Bill’’ Foulk of Olmsted Falls, formerly of Lorain died on September 2, 2004, at Southwest General Hospital after a long illness.Mr. Foulk was born on February 12, 1926, in Amherst and was a 70 year resident of Lorain.
He was employed for 39 years at United States Steel Corporation as a metallurgical technician. He was a US Navy veteran serving during WW II. He was assigned in the Pacific Theater. He worked in building aviation repair and overhaul units on Guam with the Construction Battalion.
Mr. Foulk liked to golf, fish and hunt. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 451 and the Steel Workers of America, retired.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years: Norma (nee Darvas) Foulk; daughters: Hallie Foulk Nuske of Olmsted Falls, Jill Foulk Wilkes of Round Rock, TX; one grandson, a nephew and a niece.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Ernest S. and Gertrude (nee Logsdon) Foulk, brothers James, John, and David.
