Dorothea Jayne Schuster, 85, Enjoyed flowers, cats, and antiques

She was born on December 12, 1918 in Cadillac, Michigan and has lived in Vermilion since the early 1940's.
During WWII, she worked as a welder for the American Ship Building Company, Lorain and US Steel. She had also worked as a meat wrapper for the Kroger Company and helped on the family farm.
She was a member of the Vermilion Evangelical and Reformed Church, enjoyed flowers, pets, especially cats, and antiques.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years: Raymond Schuster; 3 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild.
Preceding her in death were her son, Dennis McCrea; a step-grandson, Greg Garnek; parents, Frank and Kathryn (nee VanBuskirk) Manning; step-father, George Alt; sisters, Virginia Konnerth and Lorraine Kolyno; brothers, Jack Manning, Douglas Manning and Francis Manning.
Friends may call Thursday, September 9, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.
Services will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home at 11:00 am on Friday, September 10, 2004. The Reverend Doug Yost, pastor of the Vermilion E & R Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
