Jose E. Santiago, 48, Enjoyed old antique cars

Born January 4, 1956 in Lorain, he has lived here his entire life.
He served in the US Army during the early 1980's, and had received the MKM Badge with Rifle Bar M-16, GCMDL, and ASR. He worked as a landscaper for his brother Juan Santiago in the Lorain area.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain. He enjoyed reading novels, exercising, watching Cleveland Indians Baseball and Cleveland Browns Football, camping and old antique cars.
Surviving are his sons: Daniel Santiago, of Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, and Esteban Santiago, of Lorain; a daughter: Cassandra Santiago, a Lieutenant in the US Army stationed in Texas; his mother: Maria Ortiz, of Lorain, brothers: Juan Santiago and Carlos Santiago both of Lorain, Angel Ortiz of Columbus, Ohio, Antonio Ortiz of Lagrange, Ohio, and James Ortiz of Elyria, sisters: Miriam Velez, Caroline Ortiz, Marylou Ortiz, Jeanette Ortiz all of Lorain, and his loving partner: Isabel Rosario of Lorain; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eliodoro Santiago in 1979, sisters; Lydia Munoz in 2003, and Luz Santiago in 2003, brothers: David Ortiz in 1999, and Ramon Santiago.
The family will receive friends on Friday Sept. 10th, from 3-7 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain, where funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m.
Funeral mass will follow at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Fr. William Thaden, pastor will officiate. On Saturday a service of final commendation will be held in the funeral home at 10 a.m. with Rev. Tony DeGracia, deacon of Sacred Heart Chapel, officiating.
Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain. The Disabled American Veterans, Louis Paul Proy Chapter 20, will conduct full military honors.
