Beverly J. Brady, 74, Housewife and Mother

Beverly J. Brady (nee Switzer), 74 years of age and a resident of Amherst, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2004 at New Life Hospice Residential Center, Lorain following an extended illness.

She was born November 7, 1929 in Lucas, Ohio where she was raised and graduated from Lucas High School. She had lived in Amherst since 1957.

Beverly was a house wife and mother. She was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ in Amherst, where she served on the church council as an elder from 1995-1998 and also served on the Altar Guild for 5 years and was a member of Ladies Circle Six.

She had worked with the Brownies and Girl Scouts and worked with the Amherst Band Mothers.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years: Roland A. Brady; son: Michael Brady of Bellefontaine, OH; daughters: Susan K. Remster of Amherst and Michele K. Jeffers of South Amherst; eleven grandchildren including, Brianna, Chelsea, Mackenzie and Kiersten Remster, Matthew, Cassandra and Isaiah Brady and Nicholas, Seth, Brady and Michaela Jeffers.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Donald and Ethel (nee Magloff) Switzer; her brother: Donald L. Switzer, Jr.; her sisters: Mary Alice Mitchell, Helen Taylor and Arlene Coffey.

Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Peter United Church of Christ 582 Church St., Amherst. Rev. Mark Pemberton, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst OH.
