Margaret Jane Swidecki, 80, Enjoyed camping, traveling and bowling
Margaret Jane Swidecki, age 80, of Lorain, died September 12, 2004, at the Birchaven Retirement Village in Findlay, Ohio, following a lengthy illness.
She was born on October 10, 1923 in Alliance, Ohio and had lived in Lorain
most of her life.
She was a homemaker to her three children, working later in life at the US Steel Plant in Lorain in the Coke Plant. She had also worked in the House wares Department of the old Clarkins Department Store in Lorain. She was also known by many at Jamie's Flea Market where she had her own outdoor house wares booth for many summers. During WWII, she was a charter member of the Service Star Legion. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 451. She enjoyed camping, traveling, bowling and bingo.
Survivors include sons: Joe Swidecki and Michael Swidecki, both of Lorain; daughter: Peggy Kincer of Findlay; 2 Grandchildren and 1 Great-Grandchild.
Preceding her in death were her parents: George and Winafred (nee Crow) Bellamy; a sister: Helen Prather and brothers, George and Harry Bellamy.
Friends may call Tuesday, September 14 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Dombrowski-Volak-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, Ohio, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 15 at 1 p.m. Matthew Humphrey will be the Funeral Celebrant.
