Mary E. "Betty" Carmel, age 81, of Grafton passed away Friday, September 12, 2004 in Specialty Hospital in Lorain of injuries sustained in an automobile accident on July 15, 2004.She was born Monday, July 3, 1922 in Spencer and was a lifelong resident of Grafton.
Betty was a devoted mother and family person who enjoyed caring for her family home.
She is survived by 3 sons: David Carmel of LaGrange, Ohio, Paul Carmel of Grafton, Ohio, and Dennis Carmel of Fremont, Ohio; 9 Grandchildren & 9 Great Grandchildren; and a brother: Merwin Bridges of California.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Gordon in 1982; her parents: Warren & Rhea Bridges; and a sister: Irene.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday September 22, 2004 in Nesbett Cemetery, with Rev. Delaine McGhee pastor of Grafton United Methodist Church officiating.
Arrangements were handled by the Blackburn-Duke Funereal Home, 1021 Main St. Grafton, Ohio.
