Geneva L. Selby, 65, Nurses Aide

Photo of Geneva L. Selby Geneva L. Selby, of Vermilion, died Thursday, September 16, 2004 in Clarksfield as a result of an auto accident.

She was born February 17, 1939 in DeQueen, Arkansas. She lived in Lorain for 3 years, and had lived in Vermilion since 1960. She also lived in Earle, Arkansas.

She worked as a nurses aide for Ohio Extended Care in Lorain. She was a physical therapist assistant and enjoyed the Alzheimer’s patients.

She was a member of the Church of God, Vermilion. She enjoyed music, volunteer work and spending time with her friends and co-workers.

Survivors include her son, Larry Thomas Selby, Jr. of Vermilion; daughters, Terry Michelle Sedberry of Rota, Spain, and Dianne Marie Anderson of Oregon, OH; granddaughter, Samantha Taylor Selby; grandson, Jonathan Daniel Anderson; sisters, Beulah Johnson of Westphalia, Kansas and Virginia Nelson of Kansas City, Kansas; brothers, William Jarrett of Salem, Arkansas, and Roy Lee Jarrett of Fort Smith Arkansas.

Her husband of 47 years, Reverend Larry Thomas Selby died as a result of the same accident. She was preceded in death by her parents Troy and Mildred (nee Pipes) Jarrett.

Friends may call from 3-5 or 7-9 p.m. Monday, September 20, 2004 at the Sheffield Church of God, 2280 N. Abbe Road, Sheffield. A funeral service will be held at the church, Tuesday, September 21, 2004 at 10 a.m. Reverend Michael D. LeBuhn will officiate.

Friends may call Thursday, September 23, 2004 from 2 to 9 p.m. at the roller-Citizens Funeral Home, 201 Pine, West Memphis, Arkansas 72303. A funeral service will be held at the Earle Church of God, 606 6th Street, Earle, Arkansas, 72331 on Friday at 10 a.m. Reverend Bryan Jarrett will officiate. Burial will be in the Crittenden Memorial Park, Crawfordsville, Arkansas.

Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion is in charge of the arrangements.
