Hazel Blanche Lewis, 93, Enjoyed knitting and camping

Hazel Blanche Lewis, age 93, of Lorain, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2004 at the Ohio Extended Care Center.

She was born June 23, 1911 in Lorain and has been a lifelong area resident.

She was employed by the State of Ohio as a supervisor in the State Unemployment Office in Lorain for over 35 years, retiring in 1976. She was also a member of Christ United Methodist Church. Hazel enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crafts and camping.

Survivors include her brother: Lester Lewis and a sister Ethel Reising, both of Lorain.

She was preceded in death by her parents: George and Frances Lewis; sisters: Lenore Smith and Edna Kruger; and brother: George Lewis.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 12 noon until time of service at 1 at the Reichlin-Cooley Funeral Home, 2920 Broadway Ave., in Lorain. The Rev. Matt Darrin will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
