Myrtle M. Wohlever, 92, Mother and Grandmother

She was born on October 14, 1911 in Amherst and has been a lifelong resident.
Growing up, she attended the Amherst Schools and during WWII, she worked for US Automatics in Amherst. She retired from the Amherst Hospital where she had worked in the housekeeping and laundry facilities.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amherst and also to their St. Elizabeth Guild and the Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the VFW Post 1662 Ladies Auxiliary in Amherst.
She is survived by her daughters, Priscilla "Pat" Phillips of Vermilion and Carol Dostal of Amherst; sons, Robert "Bob" Wohlever, Jr. of Amherst and Dennis "Skip" Wohlever of Amherst.; 20 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Alice Folbert of Amherst; brother, Norman Kurth of Amherst.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Robert L. Wohlever, Sr.; daughter, Barbara Wohlever, parents, Henry and Mary (nee Strauss) Kurth, sister, Helen Kirschner and brother, George "Bud" Kurth.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 23, 2004 from 1-4 and 6-9 pm at the Dombrowski-Volak-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, Ohio. A Rosary Service will be conducted at 2 pm by the St. Joseph Catholic Church Legion of Mary.
Prayers will be said on at 10:45am on Friday, September 23, 2004 at the funeral home followed by a 11:30am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amherst. The Reverend Lawrence Martello, Pastor, will be the Celebrant. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
