Virginia Mae Caskey, 76, Enjoyed sewing, baking, and gardening
Virginia Mae Caskey, 76, of Vermilion, died Thursday, September 23, 2004 in Community Health Partners West, Lorain.She was born July 12, 1928 in Middletown, OH and lived in Vermilion most of her life.
Mrs. Caskey was a member of the Firelands Church, loved crocheting, gardening, sewing, puzzles, crafts and baking.
She is survived by her son, Jerry W. Caskey of Florence Township; daughters, Cheryl L. Bagley of Vermilion, Judith L Waters of Vermilion, Kathy Bradley of North Port, FL ; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sister, Eleanor Gau of Vermilion; brothers, George Sorrell, Jr. and James Sorrell, both of Middletown.
Preceding her in death were her husband, James Caskey in 1999; son, James Edward Caskey; brother, Roben Sorrell; sisters, Mary Lou Barker, Jean Sorrell, and Norma Sorrell and her parents George Lee and Hazel (nee Nelson) Sorrell.
Friends may call Sunday from 4 p.m. until the time of an Old Regular Baptist Service at 7:30 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion.
Funeral services will be Monday Sept.27, 2004 at the Riddle Funeral Home at 10 a.m. The Reverend Eon Simpson, pastor of the Firelands Church, will officiate.
Interment will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
