Jorge H. Rivera Sr., 51, Carpenter

Born on January 5, 1953 in Utuado, Puerto Rico, he came to Lorain in 1966. He was a 1971 graduate of Admiral King High School.

He was employed at Label & Co. as a carpenter for many years. He enjoyed working with wood, building things and was also good at fixing cars.

Surviving is his sons; Jorge H. Rivera Jr. and Eliut R. Rivera, both of Lorain, and daughter; Andrea E. Rivera of Lorain, 3 grandchildren, brothers; Luis Jimenez and Juan Maldonado, of Lorain, Miguel Rivera of Brooklyn, New York, Angel Rivera Jr. and Ramon Rivera of Florida, a sister; Zaida DeJesus, of Florida.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carmen Ann Suarez, his parents, Angel Rivera and Asunsion "Latia" (nee Maldonado) Rivera, and his brother, Hector Jimenez.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 28, 2004 from 10:30 A.M. until time of services at 12:30 P.M., in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
