Evelyn E. Demyan-Mazgaj, 84, Graduate of Lorain High School
Evelyn E. Demyan-Mazgaj (nee Harding), age 84, of Leesburg, FL, and formerly of Lorain, died Sunday, December 12, 2004 at Community Health Partners in Lorain after a brief illness.She was born July 28, 1920 in Lorain and had resided in Leesburg, Florida and Lorain all of her life.
She was a graduate of Lorain High School, class of 1938B.
Mrs. Demyan-Mazgaj worked in the cafeteria at Admiral King High School in Lorain and was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church of Lorain.
Evelyn is survived by her daughter: Debbie Ellis of Leesburg, FL; and sons: Tim Demyan of Columbus, and Peter Demyan of California; 3 step-children; 10 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her 1st husband: Peter Demyan of February 8, 1975, 2nd husband: Frank Mazgaj on June 9, 2004 and brother: Herbert Harding and Arnold Harding.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 15, 2004 from 5-8 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., in Lorain. Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Robert Glepko, pastor of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church of Lorain officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
