Robert Leon Dennison, 86, Enjoyed Gardening & Yard Work
Robert Leon Dennison age 86 of Chatham Twp. passed away Wednesday afternoon, March 16, 2005, in his home after a long illness.He was born Tuesday, October 29, 1918 in Roane Co. W.Va. living in the Lorain/Medina County area for 56 years.
He is a member of the Grafton Baptist Church in Grafton for many years, where his is also a past Deacon of the church. Mr Dennison was employed by General Motors as a Tin Smith in the sheet metal dept. for 31 years before retiring in 1980.
Many people enjoyed the fruits of his gardening skills, which he always enjoyed his yard work at home.
He is survived by 2 Daughters Peggy Westmoreland of Medina, Ohio, Carol Mason of Medina, Ohio, 1 Son David Dennison of Avon, Indiana, 12 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grand Children and 1 great great grandson, 2 Sisters Virginia Jackson of Grafton, Ohio, Rosalie Ashley of Steubenville, Ohio.
He is proceded in death by his wife Tacy in 2002, his parents William and Flora, & 1 Brother Carl.
Friends may call in the Blackburn-Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St. Grafton on Friday, March 18, 2005, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm with funeral services in the funeral home Saturday at 10:30am with Rev. Willis Donaldson, pastor of Grafton Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria, Ohio
