Kathryn Taylor, 63, Dental Hygienist, Owned Car Wash
Kathryn “Kate” Taylor (nee McCaffery), 63, of Lorain, died Saturday March 26, 2005 in the intensive care unit at Community Health Partners Hospital in Lorain.She was born July 7, 1941 in Cleveland and had resided in the Sheffield Lake and Lorain areas for the past 27 years moving from Lakewood.
Kate worked as a dental hygienist for a Cleveland dentist and later owned and operated the Lakeview Car Wash in Sheffield Lake. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Lorain and the VFW Post #8686 Ladies Auxiliary in Sheffield Lake.
Kate volunteered at Community Health Partners Hospital and the St. Joseph Thrift Store. She was a member and current secretary of the Hidden Creek Condominium Association.
Kate enjoyed reading, praying and playing with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son Robert Taylor and his wife Julie of Maricopa, Arizona, daughter Mary Kate Taylor of Lorain, grandson Jonah Taylor of Maricopa, Arizona and granddaughter Adriana Miller of Lorain. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Gladys McCaffery (nee Zeller).
