Morgan Jones, 85, Self Employed Salesman

He was born January 15, 1920 in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. He lived in Houston, Pennsylvania for 35 years before moving to Wellington in 2001. He graduated from Canonsburgh High School in 1937 and attended Waynesboro College. Mr. Jones was self employed as a salesman of resort land for development and bought and sold oil and gas leases throughout the United States.

He was a founding member of the Senior Center in Chartiers, Pennsylvania. He enjoyed reading, calling bingo and playing cards. Among the survivors are his wife of 63 years Margaret (nee Sopko) Jones of Wellington; a son David Jones of Wellington; 13 Grandchildren and 22 Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Margaret (nee Douglas) Jones, a son Dennis Jones, a sister Delores Garrone and a brother and 2 sisters in childhood.

A memorial service will be Thursday March 31 at 11:00 AM in the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 140 South Main Street, Wellington.
