Sophia Kunkle, 82, Former Lorain Resident

Sophia was born August 19, 1922 in Cowdenbeath, Scotland. Sophia lived in Lorain, OH for 66 years before moving to Kendallville.

Sophia was employed in the sales department at Ted Jacobs Department Store in Lorain. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Kendallville, a former member of Faith United Methodist Church in Lorain, 40B Mothers and enjoyed crocheting.

Mrs. Kunkle is survived by her daughters Shirley Hullinger of Kendallville, Indiana and Catherine Miller of Ovilla, Texas, her brother David Ireland of North Ridgeville, Ohio, 8 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Sophia was preceded in death by her husband Charles W. Kunkle; brother Andrew Ireland and sister Helen Duffield.

The family will recieve friends Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Reichlin-Cooley Funeral Home, 2920 Broadway, Lorain, Ohio 44052.

The funeral will be held on Friday April 1, 2005. The Rev. Jack Ison will officiate. Burial services will be held at Elmwood Cemetary in Lorain.
