David L. "Moe" Mihajlovich Sr., 52, Harley Davidson Motorcycle Enthusiast
David L. Moe Mihajlovich, Sr., age 52, of Lorain died unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, March 29, 2005 after being stricken with an apparent heart attack.He was born October 2, 1952 in Lorain and had been a life-long resident of the city.
Mr. Mihajlovich was a 1971 graduate of Admiral King High School and went on to work as a millwright in the pipe mills at U.S. Steel Corporation’s Lorain-Cuyahoga Works. He retired from the steel producer in 1996 following more than twenty years of service.
Moe was a Harley Davidson Motorcycle enthusiast who also enjoyed automobiles. He was a former member of United Steelworkers’ Local 1104.
Survivors include his wife of thirty years: Shelley (nee Bahn), a son: David L. Mihajlovich, Jr. of Lorain, a daughter, Samantha Mihajlovich also of Lorain, four grandchildren, his mother and step-father: Delsie and Samuel Viers of Lorain and sisters Judy Gump, Terri Smith, and Shannon Westfall all of Elyria and Laryssa Deskins of Amherst.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Everett Viers in 1976y and by his maternal grandmother: Eva Mihajlovich in 1978.
Visitation will be Friday, April 1, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. Funeral services are tentatively scheduled for Saturday at a time to be announced with burial following in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
