Mary D. Luca, 80, Clerk at Tony�s Meats and Fligner�s

Mary was born June 11, 1924 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.
She was a graduate of Lorain High School class of 1942B.
During World War II, Mary worked at US Steel in Lorain and then worked as a clerk at Tony’s Meats and Fligner’s in Lorain. For over 40 years she served as a precinct committee person for the Lorain Board of Elections.
Mary was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Lorain, the church Altar & Rosary Society and St. Ann Lodge #114. She enjoyed cooking, baking and walking.
She is survived by her son Ron Luca of Lorain, sister Marcella Matotek of Lorain, 4 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph J. Luca in 1992, son Richard Luca in 1999, parents John & Mary Marmol (nee Pasterchak) and brother John Marmol in 1994.
The family will receive friends Thursday, March 31, 2005, from 4-8 PM at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain where the Holy Trinity Altar & Rosary Society and St. Ann Lodge #114 will pray the rosary Thursday at 4:30 PM. Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:30 AM in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 2428 Elyria Ave., Lorain. The Rev. David A. Novak, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
