Florence M. Leuszler, 84, Enjoyed Reading and Bowling
Florence M. Leuszler (nee: Raesler), 84 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at Amherst Manor Nursing Home.She was born April 21, 1920 in Amherst where she has lived all her life. She was a 1938 graduate of the former Central High School in Amherst.
In addition to being a homemaker, she was employed from 1941 to 1953 at Western Automatic in Elyria and at Zimmerman Dairy, with her husband, from 1961 to 1968. Florence was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ in Amherst where she was baptized and confirmed. She was a member of the Amherst Ladies Fireman’s Auxiliary and enjoyed reading and bowling.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-six years, Lee H. Leuszler; her son David Leuszler of Amherst; her daughter Nora Leuszler of Amherst Township, and her sisters Joyce Hill of Vermilion and Dorothy Duff Koba of Amherst Township.
She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Joyce in 1950; by her parents John and Frances Raesler (nee: Whyte); and by her brother Bob Raesler in 2004.
Services will be held privately by the family with Rev. Mark Pemberton, pastor of St. Peter United Church of Christ of Amherst, officiating. Burial will be in Cleveland Avenue Cemetery, Amherst.
