Mildred B. Royal, 79, Fifty Year Parishioner Of Saint John Church
Mildred B. Royal, (nee Biber), age 79, of Lorain, died Saturday April 2, 2005 at the New Life Hospice Center of Saint Joseph following a brief illness.Mrs. Royal was born May 22, 1925 in Lorain and had been a life-long resident of the city; she was a 1943 graduate of Lorain High School.
Mildred was formerly employed by the Myer-Goldberg Grocery Store and later as an assembler for the Mascon Toy Company in Lorain. She had most recently been employed in housekeeping services for the Lorain Board of Education from which she retired in 1993.
A fifty-year parishioner of Saint John Roman Catholic Church of Lorain, she enjoyed bingo, casino gambling, baking for her friends, and watching Wrestle Mania.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-five years: Leroy, a son: George Royal of Terrell, Texas, daughter: Karoline Yates of Lorain, grandson: Aaron Yates of Lorain, brothers: Paul Biber, Joseph Biber, and sister: Liz Gargascz.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Karoline Biber, by brothers: Frank, John, and Mike, and by a sister: Helen Kochurek.
Visitation will be Monday, April 4, 2005, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel 3224 Broadway Avenue Lorain. Funeral services will be Tuesday beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel and will be followed by the celebration of her funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. in Saint John Roman Catholic Church 2143 Homewood Drive Lorain. The Reverend Thomas Smith, pastor of the church will preside. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery Lorain.
