Alice L. Moorman, 78, Enjoyed Crocheting & Knitting
Alice L. Moorman, (nee Itterly), age 78, of Sheffield Lake, died Monday April 4, 2005 at the home of her daughter following a brief illness.Mrs. Moorman was born in New York, New York and had been a resident of Sheffield Lake for more than forty-five years.
A homemaker, wife, and mother, she was widely acknowledged as an accomplished collector of all things great and small; additional interests included knitting and crocheting.
Alice is survived by sons: Dennis R. Moorman of Mount Dora, Florida, Michael A. Moorman of Avon Lake, daughter: Anita L. Hammer of Lorain, six grandchildren, one great granddaughter, a brother: Robert Itterly residing in New Jersey, and sisters: Marie Martin of North Carolina and Grace O’Donnell living in Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-six years: Robert in 1991, by a grandson: Damon Moorman in 2000, by her parents: Quintas and Anna Maria (nee Legaye) Itterly, and a sister: Margaret Peg Juodzevich.
Friends may call Wednesday, April 6, 2005, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel 3224 Broadway Lorain. Funeral services will be Thursday beginning at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel and will be followed by the celebration of her funeral mass at 12:00 noon in Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church 1305 East Erie Avenue Lorain. The Reverend Joseph West, O.F.M. Conv., pastor of Saint Anthony Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park Amherst Township.
