John J. "Jay" Serrano, Sr., 30, Avid Fisherman, Hunter and Bicyclist
John J. "Jay" Serrano, Sr. 30 of Lorain died Thursday, April 7, 2005 in Saint John and West Shore Hospital, Westlake following a lengthy illness.He was born May 25, 1974 in Cambridge, Ohio and was a life long resident of Lorain County.
He attended Marion L. Steel High School, Amherst, and Lorain County Joint Vocational School in Oberlin.
Mr. Serrano was an avid fisherman, hunter and bicyclist.
Among the survivors are his wife Betty Jane (nee Swift) Serrano of Jacksonville, Florida whom he was separated from; sons John James Jr. and Dyllan Jacob Serrano both of Amherst, daughter Rebecca Le Ann Serrano of Elyria; Mother and step father Cheryl and Louis Romero of Amherst, father and step mother John and Cynthia of Foreman, Arkansas; a sister Lisa Marie Serrano of Westlake; maternal grandparents Catherine Mc Cann of Punta Gorda, Florida and Gordon K. Mc Cartney of Lorain, paternal grand mother Marcolina Serrano of Lorain and his Great Grand father James H. Bryner, Sr. of Punta Gorda, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his grand father Agripino Serrano, Sr. and step grand father William F. McCann and great grand mother Carol M. Bryner.
