Catherine H. ''Kay'' Desich, 82, Enjoyed Cooking and Baking
Catherine H. "Kay" Desich (nee Ristich) 82 of Lorain died Monday, April 11, 2005 in in Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center, Lorain following a brief illness.She was born February 18, 1923 in Akron, Ohio and lived in Gary, Indiana for 4 years before coming to Lorain in 1954.
Mrs. Desich was a homemaker and mother who was a member of Saint George Serbian Orthodox Church, Lorain and the church's Kolo Serpski Sestara. She enjoyed being generous with her time cooking and baking for her church. She enjoyed taking many trips in the states and traveling to Europe in 1982.
Among the survivors are her son Don Desich of Mt. Vernon, Ohio and a daughter Dianne Scoles of Louisville, Kentucky, eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by he husband Dan Desich, a daughter Denise H. Weber; her parents Ivan and Smilja Ristich; sisters Dorothy Stoyanchul and Sadie Thomas.
Friends may call Wednesday, April 13, 2005, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00PM at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Ohio, where Parastas will be Monday evening at 7:30 PM.
Funeral service will be Thursday 10:00 AM in Saint George Serbian Orthodox Church, 3335 Grove Avenue, Lorain. Reverend Father Milorad Orlic, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
