Blanche E. Brass, 82, Enjoyed Fishing and Camping
Blanche E. (nee Breeden) Brass, 82, of Lorain died on Monday, April 18, 2005 at New Life Hospice Center at St. Joseph in Lorain, OH following a long illness.Mrs. Brass was born on August 26, 1922 in Pittsburgh, PA. She moved here as a small child and lived in Lorain most of her life.
She was a charter member of the former Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lorain and a former Worthy Matron of Eastern Star-Day Chapter.
Mrs. Brass had worked at the Lorain Public Library, prior to her marriage and had been a secretary at Lorain Products.
She enjoyed fishing and camping, her family and wintering in Florida for 20 years.
Mrs. Brass is survived by her daughter, Joy Kingsley of Lorain, son, John Brass of Leesburg, FL, 4 grandsons, and 3 great-grandsons.
She is preceded in death by her husband John J. Brass in 2003, her parents Raymond and Mabel E. (nee Adams) Breeden, brothers, Kenneth Breeden and Joseph Downie and a sister Pearl Morgan
Friends may call at the Schwartz Spence Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, OH, on Friday, April 22, 2005 from 4:00 until memorial service time at 7:00 pm. The Rev. Philip Kunz, interim pastor at the St. John's United Church of Christ will officiate.
Burial will be in Brownhelm Cemetery, Brownhelm Township at a later date.
